This policy explains what WaitingMap, referred to here as “we”, collects when you use the Aquvix mobile app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Aquvix is used together with a rescue buoy and wrist tag rented from a partner facility such as a beach or resort.
1. What we collect

2. What we do not collect
- We do not use your phone’s location. Positions shown in the app are measured by the rented buoy, not by your device. The app does not request location permission.
- We do not store camera images. The camera is used only to read the QR code on your wrist tag; nothing is recorded or uploaded.
- We do not collect contacts, photos, files, advertising identifiers or browsing activity, and we do not use the data for advertising.
3. Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we process this data to perform the rental contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)), to protect vital interests during an emergency (Article 6(1)(d)), and on the basis of your consent given at sign-up (Article 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
- The facility renting you the equipment — its staff see your session, position and safety events so they can respond.
- Emergency and rescue services — where necessary to respond to an incident.
- Supabase, our hosting and database provider, which stores this data on our behalf.
- Google Maps, which renders the map. Displaying a map sends coordinates and technical data to Google under Google’s privacy policy.
Weather shown in the app comes from public forecast services and is requested by our servers using the facility’s location only — never yours. We do not sell personal data.
5. How long we keep it
Account details are kept while your account exists. Session, position and event records are kept for 12 months so that incidents can be reviewed, and are then deleted or anonymised. Records that must be retained for a legal or insurance claim are kept until that matter is resolved.
6. Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to restrict or object to processing. To do so, or to delete your account and everything associated with it, write to sales_kr@naranga.com from the phone number or with the name used at sign-up. We respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority; in Korea, to the Personal Information Protection Commission.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access rules that let each person reach only their own records. Facility staff see only sessions at their own facility.
8. Children
Aquvix is not directed to children under 13. Where a minor uses the rented equipment, an accompanying adult registers and supervises the session.
9. International transfers
Our servers may be located outside your country. Where data leaves the EEA or UK we rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
10. Changes
We will update this page when the app changes and will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
11. Privacy officer
We have designated a privacy officer responsible for handling personal data and for responding to the requests described in section 6.
